I’ve taught extensively for the past 20 years out of my home, as well as through the Irish musicians’ association called Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann (CCE), at the annual Upper Potomac Irish Weekend in Shepherdstown, West Virginia and for many years at CCE MAD (Musical Arts and Dance) Week, an Irish arts summer school held annually in Bethesda, MD. The privilege of meeting and working with many of the very top masters in the Irish music world has spurred me ever deeper into this music.

In 2004 I was awarded the Teastas Teagaisc Ceolta Tire (TTCT), granting certification as a master teacher of Irish music; a diploma course given at the headquarters of CCE in Dublin, Ireland.  In 2005 I took First Place in the Mandolin competition at the U.S. Mid-Atlantic Fleadh Cheol, in Pearl River, NY, and Second Place in the Traditional Singing competition.

I love to teach. I’ve conducted workshops, taught large classroom groups, and enjoyed offering private lessons to many students in the Wash DC region.

I’m currently enrolling new music students for lessons in and around Fort Collins, primarily focusing on recruiting mandolin students. Locations will be Boomers Music and the Music District. Private and small group classes begin January 2019. I have mandolins available for rent. Please contact me for current information.
